Care instructions
For Jesmonite Home Decor:
⁃ Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight to prevent discoloration.
⁃ Protect from extreme temperatures to prevent cracking or warping.
⁃ Clean gently with mild soap and water, avoiding abrasive scrubbing.
⁃ Take care with colored liquids, as they may stain Jesmonite.
For Candles:
1. Choose the Right Location:
- Place the candle on a fireproof surface, like my Jesmonite stone tray. This makes it easy to clean once the wax has cooled.
- Keep candles away from flammable materials, such as curtains, papers, or furniture.
2. Trim the Wick:
- Trim the wick to about 1/4 inch (6mm) before lighting the candle.
- A shorter wick helps control the flame and reduces smoke.
3. Keep an Eye on the Flame:
- Never leave a burning candle unattended.
- Monitor candles, especially around children and pets.
4. Extinguish Safely:
- Use a snuffer or gently blow out the flame to extinguish the candle.
- Avoid using water to put out a candle, as it can splatter hot wax.
5. Store Candles Properly:
- Store candles in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight or heat sources.
6. Be Mindful of Duration:
- Don't burn candles for more than 1.5-2 hours at a time.
- Allow the candle to cool before relighting it.
